Our Story
Jim Knapp is a Chicago based singer-songwriter. His music is a guitar driven blend of folk-rock, Americana, and alt-country. His songs take traditional arrangements and push them in new directions with a focus on lyrics that capture the personal experience of life's unexpected turns. Jim's been playing solo and in bands for a long time, including stints with The Curve, The Grub Street Poets, and more recently the YpsiMayflys.
The Lighthouse Dogs are Ryan Lecky (drums) and George Callobre (bass). Ryan and Jim have been playing together for the last two years, and George jumped on board in the spring of 2025.
